But thanks to the wonders of streaming, a nice set of notes is never far away. This week listener Sharky suggested a very very geeky way to do just that. The ultimate way to do this is to use cmd. Its a streaming music interface combined with something that resembles a chat room.
All you need is a computer duh a browser and a sound card and you are good to go. In a command line interface you can choose from a variety of genres and listen to whatever tickles your fancy from Punk Rock to Choir music. Play, Pause, Genres, … All the commands are entered via the keyboard; We love the service because it has a high sound and content quality, because there are no or almost no adds and because its the geekiest way to stream music ever.

Some phones come with FM tuners built in, some phones have a tuner that's been disabled by your carrier, and some have no radio tuner at all. Since there's no one-size-fits-all solution, a multi-pronged approach will be needed. So below, I'll go over three different options that will let you listen to live FM radio on your Android device.
If your phone has a built-in FM radio tuner, but didn't come with a stock app that lets you access it, then NextRadio is your best bet. The set-up process is simple—just install the app, then if your device is supported, you'll be able to tune in on live FM broadcasts. As I mentioned earlier, many devices have had their FM tuner chips disabled by the carrier, which is a predictably shady tactic they employ to get you to use more mobile data.
To make sure your device is compatible with NextRadio, see the full list of supported devices and carriers here. If your phone or tablet is not supported by NextRadio, it probably doesn't have an FM tuner built in.
cmd.fm, A Command-Line Interface for Internet Radio
But there's still hope, as long as your device is rooted. This is obviously a more complicated solution than NextRadio, so it does not work on all devices. However, if you're having any issues, you can visit the developer's support forum here for troubleshooting help.
If neither of the above options worked for you, then sadly, your device does not have the hardware required to tune to FM frequencies. As a result, your only option for listening to live FM broadcasts is by using an app that streams radio over the internet.
Use the links below to get either of the apps installed, and you'll be listening to streaming versions of your favorite local radio stations in no time. Since Windows Vista, Windows has allowed you to change the volume for individual apps using its Volume Mixer.
This can be useful if you have apps that always seem to play too loud or soft compared to everything else. The solution is just a right-click away. When you first open it, Volume Mixer will likely just show two volume sliders: Device which controls the master volume and System Sounds. When you use an app to play a sound, that app appears in the Volume Mixer.pdi.pucungpta.pw mobile app
You can adjust the volume for any app just by dragging its slider. The Device slider controls the master volume. The level you set for each app is relative to the master volume, so as you change the master volume, the volumes for each app also change. While setting individual app volumes can be really useful, there are a few limitations to keep in mind:.
Ear Trumpet offers some other pretty cool features. Click the Ear Trumpet icon on the system tray and it will pop up individual volume sliders for all your running apps, making it one step easier than opening up the Volume Mixer.
